A lot of users new to CAD or new to a 3D CAD modeller may be confused by the concept of Fusion 360 Bodies and Components. You don’t know, what you don’t know right? For those users, bodies and components can appear to be too similar to one another, and keeping things organised can be a challenge.

I would like to cut a body with a surface that is moved along a profile. I could sweep a surface but it would have only a 2d profile, i'd like to take a 3d profile and sweep it to generate a new surface that I can then use to cut a body. I'm looking for a way to cut a body with another (surface) body that is tracking along some motion path. Aug 27, 2015 · Yeah, I know, I'm sad about that too. The good news is that the Fusion 360 team does an amazing job of adding features and listening to user feedback.
